Sewer Flow Monitoring

AQS has a commitment to collect the best possible flow data available for any given site.

We work closely with the client to assess the viability of any particular monitoring location.

With our constantly evolving procedures and techniques we collect, analyse and report on the flow data. This provides the client with information to:

• Investigate flooding and/or surcharging in a sewer system.
• Establish sewer capacities with particular reference to new   developments.
• Identify major sources of infiltration and exfiltration in the   sewer system.
• Check the operation of combined sewer overflows.
• Confirm the performance of sewerage improvement schemes.

In addition to Short Term flow surveys, we also undertake Long Term flow surveys where data retrieval can be by telemetry. This gives the advantages of operational cost savings and real time data. This can be utilised to great effect to monitor CSO’s.

CSO monitoring

AQS can provide:

• Full CSO Surveys to include, full or schematic CSO drawings   produced in AutoCad or other specific formats.
• Short or long term flow surveys installed within CSO   structure.
• CCTV surveys of associated pipework to ascertain structural   and service condition.
• Outfall location using the latest GPS equipment,   electronically providing an accurate location of the main sewer   line and specific chambers if required to include NGR.
